Tiered Cake Serving Size Guide
A single-tiered layer cake (refer to gallery above for examples) has a set number of servings. However, this can vary based on the shape of the cake.
For example, a square 8″ cake will have more servings than a round 8″ cake.
Round and square cakes are by far the most common shapes. But that is not to say you can’t get creative with scalloped, hexagonal and other styles.
The below is a rough guide that shows a variety of options when it comes to selecting your wedding cake according to how many you’d like it to cater for. Keep in mind though, that this is just a guide and I offer a whole host of options for tiered cakes that aren’t included here, so don’t feel limited by this chart! These are simply the most common sized tiered cakes.
